Nicolas Cornelius graduated from the University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law in 1991.  He took a position in the Securities Division of the Arizona Corporation Commission right out of law school, where he practiced in the areas of securities and transactional law and broker/dealer and investment advisor and securities sales representative licensing, registration, and enforcement matters.  During the course of his time with the Securities Division, he had the opportunity to prosecute administrative matters criminally as a Special Assistant Attorney General; he was eventually given the opportunity to become a full-time Assistant Attorney General, which he took up.  Between 1999 and 2002, Mr. Cornelius practiced in a local mid-sized firm in the areas of corporate law, including human resources, employee and employer relations, business litigation, and corporate formation and transactions.  He also practiced in the areas of white collar criminal defense, estate planning and probate, and civil litigation.  Since he started his own practice in 2002, his practice continues in those areas to this day.  He has also developed a practice area representing fire districts in a variety of matters.  Mr. Cornelius is licensed to practice in the State of Arizona and in the U.S. Federal District Court.  He has appeared in various city courts, various county courts, and in U.S. Bankruptcy and Federal District Courts, as well as handling civil and criminal matters outside of Arizona in local and federal courts on a pro hac vice basis.  Mr. Cornelius is married and lives with his lovely wife, 2 sons, 2 dogs, and a chinchilla.
